The opening ceremony of the Press and Information Center (PIC) of the Ministry of Communications and High Technologies (MCHT) took place today. The opening ceremony of the center was attended by Minister Ali Abbasov.
Nowadays the development of the information society and formation of new requirements and trends in the global information space force all of information institutions to make new changes in their structures.
In this regard, it is expedient to open such a center which is based on modern standards and latest technologies.
The Press and Information Center will perform the functions of regulation of MCHT information policy, promotion of activities and projects implemented by the ministry, as well as raising public awareness.
Speaking at the opening ceremony of the center, Advisor to the Minister Mushfig Amirov said that ministry’s official website (www.mincom.gov.az), newspaper “The World of Communications” and online news service “ICTnews” will operate under the Center.
Moreover, the Internet TV to be created will be controlled from this center.
The center will also be engaged in preparation of information, speeches and interviews concerning the activities of MCHT, its departments and enterprises, taking of pictures and videos.
