Minister of Communications and High Technologies Ali Abbasov met with newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to Azerbaijan Gennady Akhramovich. Saying relations based on mutual trust and friendship have deeply penetrated into all areas of cooperation between the two countries, including in the field of communications and high technologies, Minister Ali Abbasov noted close participation of both sides in the development of these relations. Noting the great potential for deepening of the existing activities between ICT, communications and high technologies, the Minister talked about the areas of interest for future cooperation in this field. The Minister congratulated Gennady Akhramovich on his appointment as ambassador, and expressed hope that the new ambassador will contribute to the dynamic development between the two countries in his future activity. In turn, speaking about common interest and values between the two countries, the Ambassador appreciated the preservation of these relations as a result of great will of the two sides. The diplomat said that he would make every effort in his future activity to determine, expand and develop new forms of cooperation in the field of ICT, communications and high technologies. During the meeting it was also noted that Belarus will be represented at exhibition and conference BakuTel 2015 by some 15 companies and with a national stand, the third Belarus-Azerbaijan ICT Forum on high technologies will also be held as part of the exhibition.
