Minister of Communications and High Technologies of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ramin Guluzade met with Minister of Telecom and Mass Communications of the Russian Federation Nikolai Nikiforov as part of the regular meetings of the Regional Commonwealth in the field of Communications in Dushanbe, the Republic of Tajikistan.
The sides discussed a draft agreement on cooperation in the field of communications and information technologies (IT), as well as information technologies, postal service and information security between the two countries.
It was noted that the meeting will give additional impetus to the development of Russian-Azerbaijani relations, cooperation between the Russian Ministry of Telecom and Mass Communications and the Ministry of Communications and High Technologies of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the field of information and communication technologies.
Nikolai Nikiforov said the cooperation between the two ministries has entered a new stage of development with the appointment of Ramin Guluzade as the Minister of Communications and High Technologies of the Republic of Azerbaijan in January 2016.
Minister Ramin Guluzade said the expansion of mutual cooperation and exchange of experience in the given field would be beneficial to both sides.
